The Biker Who Protected the Little Girl

 Part 2: The Secret They Wanted Buried


The biker wrapped one arm around the little girl as she quietly cried against his shoulder.


"It's okay," he whispered. "No one is taking you anywhere."


The men behind him stepped closer, silently forming a protective circle around them.


One of them asked softly, "Who is she?"


The biker looked at the girl.


"What's your name?"


"...Emma," she answered, barely above a whisper.


"And who are 'they'?"


Emma hesitated. Her hands trembled on the crutches.


"They made me promise... if I told anyone... they'd make my mommy disappear forever."


The entire garage fell silent.


The biker knelt beside her again.


"Emma," he said gently, "I need you to trust me. Whatever happened... you're safe here."


She took a shaky breath.


"My mom worked for a company. She found something she wasn't supposed to see."


"What kind of something?"


"They were selling medicine that wasn't real."


The bikers exchanged worried glances.


Emma continued.


"My mom wanted to tell the police... but before she could..."


Tears streamed down her face.


"They took her."


The room froze.


"They locked her in a warehouse," Emma whispered. "I heard them talking."


"How do you know?"


"I was hiding."


She reached into the pocket of her dress and pulled out a tiny silver flash drive.


"I took this while they weren't looking."


The biker stared at it.


"What's on it?"


"My mom said... if anything happened... give this to someone who protects people."


His jaw tightened.


"This is why they're looking for you."


Emma nodded.


"They've been following me ever since."


Just then...


A motorcycle outside suddenly stopped.


Then another.


Headlights shone through the garage doors.


One of the bikers looked through the window.


"They found us."


The biker slowly stood, placing the flash drive safely inside his vest.


He looked at his friends.


"Lock every entrance."


The engines outside grew louder.


Someone pounded on the metal garage door.


BOOM!


Emma grabbed his hand.


"They're here..."


The biker looked down at her calmly.


"Stay behind us."


Outside, a voice shouted...


"Hand over the girl... or everyone in there gets hurt."
